Let’s dive in and discover the wonders of camping!

The campground was well maintained and the bathrooms were surprisingly clean! The grounds were neatly manicured with lush green grass and well-kept walking paths. The bathrooms were spotless and smelled fresh, a pleasant surprise for a campground. It was evident that the staff took pride in their work and made sure that the facilities were clean and inviting for all guests. Overall, the cleanliness of the campground added to the enjoyment of our stay and we were impressed with the level of care that was put into maintaining it.
Each site had a fire pit with a grate which made cooking meals much easier. The grate allowed for pots and pans to be placed securely over the flames, providing a stable surface for cooking. This feature was especially convenient for campers looking to prepare hot meals during their outdoor adventures. The fire pit with a grate created a central gathering point for cooking and socializing, making the camping experience more enjoyable and efficient.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t an actual grill available at each campsite (though there were grills at the lake). This lack of grills at the individual campsites made it challenging for campers to cook their meals easily. However, the grills located at the lake provided a solution for those looking to cook outdoors. Despite the inconvenience, campers were able to adapt and make the best of their cooking situation by utilizing the available resources at the lake.
Cooking every single meal over the fire is HOT and my eyes were streaming from the smoke at one point. The heat from the flames can be intense, especially during the summer months, and it takes skill to keep the fire at the right temperature for cooking. The smoke can also be a challenge, making it difficult to see and causing discomfort. Despite these challenges, there is something satisfying about cooking over an open flame and enjoying the unique flavors that come from this traditional cooking method.
It would be something we would look to have on our next venture! We are always exploring new opportunities and ideas for our next project, and this particular concept or feature is definitely something that has caught our attention. We believe that incorporating it into our next venture could bring added value and appeal to our customers, and we are excited about the potential it holds for our business. As we continue to plan and develop our next venture, this is definitely something we will be giving serious consideration to.

Here are a couple of notes on some fails and wins.
Fails: One major fail was the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which had a serious issue with exploding batteries that led to a massive recall. Another fail was the disastrous launch of the Fyre Festival, which promised a luxury music experience but ended up being a complete disaster with attendees stranded and lacking basic necessities.
Wins: On the other hand, the successful launch of SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket was a huge win, showcasing the capabilities of private space exploration. Another win was the viral sensation of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which not only raised awareness for a good cause but also millions of dollars in donations.
Outlet adapter fail: When using outlet adapters, it is important to ensure they are the correct type for the country you are in and that they are properly installed. Failing to do so can result in overheating, short-circuiting, or even electrical fires. It is crucial to always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines when using outlet adapters to prevent any potential hazards. If you notice any sparking, overheating, or other signs of malfunction, it is important to immediately stop using the adapter and seek professional help to avoid any further risks.
Firewood fail: Despite our best efforts, the firewood we purchased turned out to be damp and difficult to burn. No matter how much kindling we added or how long we let it sit by the fire, the logs just wouldn’t catch. It was a frustrating experience, leaving us cold and without the cozy warmth we had been looking forward to. Lesson learned: always make sure the firewood is properly seasoned before trying to use it.
Bedding Win: Finding the perfect bedding can make all the difference in your sleep experience. Whether it’s the softness of the sheets, the warmth of the comforter, or the fluffiness of the pillows, a bedding win can lead to a more comfortable and restful night’s sleep. Investing in high-quality bedding that suits your personal preferences can result in better sleep quality and overall well-being. So next time you’re shopping for bedding, remember that the right choice can lead to a win for your sleep health.
Lantern Fail: As the sun began to set and the darkness crept in, the excitement of using a lantern to light the way turned to frustration when the lantern failed to work properly. Despite multiple attempts to fix it, the lantern refused to light up, leaving us in the dark. It was a disappointing turn of events, but we made the best of the situation by relying on flashlights and the glow of the campfire to guide us through the night. It served as a reminder that even the best-laid plans can go awry, and the importance of being prepared for unforeseen circumstances in the great outdoors.

OUR TENT
Tent Spacious interior: The generous interior of our tent provides ample space for comfortable camping trips. With enough room to stand up and move around freely, you can easily relax and enjoy your time in the great outdoors. Whether you’re camping with friends or family, the spacious interior of our tent ensures that everyone has enough space to sleep, store their gear, and relax without feeling cramped. The large windows and doors also allow for plenty of natural light to come in, creating a bright and airy atmosphere inside the tent.
Tent Mid-price Range: When looking for a tent in the mid-price range, you can expect a balance between quality and affordability. These tents are typically made of durable materials that can withstand various weather conditions and provide adequate protection from the elements. They often come with features such as strong poles, waterproofing, and good ventilation. While they may not have all the bells and whistles of higher-end tents, mid-price range tents are a great option for casual campers or those looking to upgrade from a basic tent without breaking the bank.
Tent Durable construction: When it comes to tents, durable construction is key to ensuring a long-lasting and reliable shelter. High-quality materials such as reinforced stitching, ripstop fabric, and strong poles are essential for withstanding the elements and providing a secure place to rest. Properly sealed seams and waterproof coatings further enhance the durability of a tent, making it suitable for various camping conditions. A well-constructed tent not only offers protection from wind, rain, and sun but also provides peace of mind knowing that it can withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures.
Tent Hinged Door: The tent hinged door is a convenient feature that allows easy access in and out of the tent without having to unzip and zip a traditional tent door. This type of door is especially useful for campers who need to enter and exit the tent frequently, such as families with small children or restless sleepers. The hinged door also provides added security and protection from the elements, making it a popular choice for campers looking for a hassle-free camping experience.
Tent Windows and Ventilation: When camping in a tent, having proper ventilation is crucial for a comfortable and safe experience. Tent windows provide a way to let fresh air in and allow for proper airflow. This helps to prevent condensation buildup inside the tent, which can make things damp and uncomfortable. It also helps to regulate the temperature inside the tent, keeping it cool on hot days and reducing humidity. Additionally, having windows in your tent allows you to enjoy the view and feel more connected to the outdoors while still being protected from the elements. Overall, tent windows are an essential feature for any camper looking to maximize their comfort and enjoyment while spending time in nature.

MEALS
We packed way too much food for our camping trip with my in-laws. I underestimated how much food eleven people would consume in three days. I believe it’s always better to have excess than to run out. Next time, I would streamline our food supplies even more, but the meals we prepared turned out to be surprisingly simple!
BREAKFAST
- EGGS AND BACON
- BAGELS AND CREAM CHEESE
- FRUIT (WASHED AND CUT AT HOME)
LUNCH
- BBQ CHICKEN THIGHS (MARINATED AND PREPPED AT HOME)
- HOAGIE SANDWICHES
- CHIPS & DIP
- FRUIT
DINNERS
- HOT DOG ROAST
- BBQ HAMBURGERS
- STEAKS
- CHIPS & DIP
- FRUIT
If I had the space and planned to camp more often, I would likely consider buying a gas cooktop. Cooking bacon over the fire was extremely difficult. After cooking two pounds of bacon for eleven people, my eyes were watering from the smoke caused by the grease. Apart from that, all the meals were easy to prepare and clean up.
Although I typically don’t use disposable plates or cups, I made an exception for our first camping trip with a large group. I have reusable picnic plates and forks that I will bring for smaller gatherings. I also purchased roasting sticks, which turned out to be very useful and longer than I expected, making it easy for kids to roast their own hot dogs and s’mores.
Next time, I plan to prepare more pre-made meals like breakfast burritos and foil dinners to heat over the fire. Overall, I consider the trip a great success. I only realized once we were there that I was the only one in the group who had been camping before. Despite the hard work, it was a fun experience, and we are all looking forward to the next trip!
